CEBL SUMMER SERIES – FRASER VALLEY GETS THE BYE AND SASKATCHEWAN SAYS GOODBYE

@DonaldHigney
Guelph vs. Fraser Valley
The Fraser Valley Bandits got their bye with a 84-70 win against the Guelph Nighthawks.
The biggest key for Fraser Valley was the 15 steals they had, leading to 19 points. Jahenns Manigat had four and Marek Klassen had three.
Manigat also won Player of the Game for his 20 points. He also hit six threes.
As for Guelph, their patented balanced scoring attack wasn’t enough. Four of their five starters were in double digits, but no one scored more than 12 points.
Guelph has to wait to find out their playoff opponent, but will be playing tomorrow.
Ottawa vs. Saskatchewan
The defending champions will not get to defend their title. The Saskatchewan Rattlers were eliminated from the playoffs with a loss against the expansion Ottawa BlackJacks 87-68.
The BlackJacks dominated paint play. They scored 52 points compared to the Rattlers 16.
Player of the Game was given to Thomas Scrubb for his 20 points. Shaquille Keith also had 12 points.
Kemy Osse had 21 for Saskatchewan, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough. This team was hammered by injuries with Kris Joseph and Kenny Ejim not playing tonight.
Ottawa moves up to the fourth seed and will take on Guelph. Hamilton is the third seed and will take on Niagara.
